Summer of Performance Sales Event: The Clock is Ticking

We’re proud to be an Acura dealership serving Hampton, VA. That said, there are times we want to look at our parent company and ask, “What took you so long?” It’s been a long wait for the 2019 Acura MDX, but now that it’s finally here, we find that it was well worth the wait. We’ve mentioned it in this space before, but here’s a recap of what’s new now that it’s here.

There are two seating arrangements for the 2019 Acura MDX. Depending on the trim and option packages you choose, you’ll be able to seat either six or seven. The engine remains the same as last year, as does the optional Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive. Other things are new or updated, including:

  • A new A-Spec trim with standard SH-AWD
  • A revised nine-speed transmission
  • Active shocks (optional)
  • Acura Active Damper System, previously available only on the hybrid, comes to all models
  • Engine stop/start also comes to all trims
  • AcuraWatch driver assist features now standard equipment

What’s next, in this case, would be the 2019 Acura MDX Hybrid. Some Acura dealerships have already taken delivery alongside the conventional gas model, and we expect it’ll arrive at Hall Acura Virginia Beach shortly. The technology upgrades are the same, but there’s still an important difference: this new Acura SUV inherits its hybrid technology from the legendary Acura NSX. Thankfully, it doesn’t inherit a supercar price tag; an Acura press release reminds us there’s a price difference of only $1,500 should you opt for the hybrid drive model.

Just because we’ve had to wait all this time doesn’t mean you should; the latest evolution of the Acura MDX is clearly its best yet. Visit your Acura dealership near Hampton VA at 3200 Virginia Beach Blvd., for a test drive!
